Descriptions
The Tennessee Fund was created in 1986 to provide the resources necessary to ensure student-athletes at The University of Tennessee reach their full academic and athletic potential. Charitable gifts by over 15,000 donors support over 500 student-athletes and 20 athletic programs. These gifts also help our coaches recruit the nation's premier student-athletes and compete for SEC and national championships.
Your membership to the Tennessee Fund provides opportunities for Vols and Lady Vols to succeed in the classroom and in the competitive arenas. In addition, you become the financial backbone for all athletic programs by providing for scholarships and enhanced athletic facilities. The return on your investment in Tennessee Athletics is realized through graduating student-athletes, winning championships, community outreach, and a commitment to excellence.
We are proud to be one of the few programs in the country that does not require financial assistance from the university, state subsidies, or tax revenues. Because of the support of Tennessee Fund donors, the athletic department will guarantee the university on average $6.375 million per year in additional funding.
The success of Tennessee Athletics, and more importantly the student-athletes, would not be possible without the generous and continued support from members of the Tennessee Fund.
