Space Camp® was founded in 1982 as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center® museum’s education program to promote the study of math, science, and technology. Trainees experience astronaut simulators, take command of a mission to the International Space Station and develop leadership and teamwork skills.Trainees at Aviation Challenge® camp are put to the test as they fly high performance jet simulators, hone their land and water survival skills, and practice leadership skills.Space Camp Robotics trainees experience air, land and sea based robots during their week at camp. Teams navigate the water using the Office of Naval Research SeaPerch robotics program, fly unmanned aircraft in our simulators and engineer robots to compete in a space challenge.Programs are also available for adults, and special camps have been designed for educators and for corporate groups. Additional Family Camp Programs are available for children as young as 7 years.
