NY Harbor School Diving Program

New York Harbor School is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) public school in New York City. We have 6 CTE programs, one of which is Professional Diving. Students are in the program for 3 years, finishing their sophomore year with PADI Rescue diver certification, Junior year with their scientific diver certification and working their senior year on underwater projects including oyster restoration, site evaluations, and species inventories. The program is paid for through the generous donations of our supporters. We are the only public high school in the country to be a member organization of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences.
