Bristle Ridge Homestead & Academy

We began our homeschooling journey in 1996. I quickly learned I was a relaxed homeschooler and the child directed approach worked really well for us. While we do use some workbook learning, most of our day is filled with manipulatives and hands on learning. I believe children should follow their interests and take ownership of their learning. This method of schooling promotes independence, responsibility, self discipline and leadership. My children have developed a love for learning and strong academics.
