The Fall River Fire Department / Division of Emergency Medical Services is a highly skilled group of 32 full-time paramedics who; under authority of the Director of Emergency Medical Services and the Fire Chief provide primary 911 EMS response to the City of Fall River. The division operates four medical rescues strategically placed throughout the city, and has recently implemented a fifth impact unit staffed at peak times to meet the increasingly high call volume. All of our medical rescues are staffed at the ALS level, and manned by two paramedics at all times. The command staff is comprised of the Fire Chief, Director of EMS, Deputy Director of EMS, and QA/QI coordinator. Each medical rescue and it's corresponding crew are overseen by a Field Supervisor who is responsible for both the apparatus and the crew.
