There are many, many, people who grew up extremely privileged. But they don't act like toddlers. Many actually become quite accomplished, say, like Special Prosecutor Bob Mueller.
Doesn't the book of James tell us to venerate the rich? That they are a source of blessing and wealth? They're heroic, generous and provide jobs for us all. Be thankful for the billionaires making our nation great again, one tax break at a time.
I'm not buying that at all. IMO, he has at least one personality disorder, is well into the first few years of dementia, and his money affords him a flock of enablers.
It's way past time to stop letting the rich get away with everything. Stop letting them pay a fine and treat them like everyone else. Money should not enter i into the picture, if the average person would go to jail so should the rich guy. The justice system needs to be held accountable when they allow a rich guy to just pay a fine, it's not justice because they will just go and commit the crumb again.
He represents everything the poor , struggling and two family incomes are not. How could he possibly understand what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck Or live without r everything gold finished. Why his supporters thought he understood is beyond me
Fact. Trump cannot comprehend what it's like to be an American citizen. He only understands being rich, and being surrounded by people who will get fired if they even suggest Trump is wrong.
being born in wealth in America means that you not have to grow up, you can live all your life as an eternal teenager without being forced to mature. America doesn't value wisdom of the old age anymore, it is obsessed with the eternal youth and avoids thinking about death. Trump is the perfect example of this avoidance of maturity: he speaks about things he doesn't know, and says what is not true; he doesn't take responsibility for his words or actions, and he does not think carefully; he does not remember what he said yesterday and he is not bothered with contradictions. he brags about money and wealth, and his women
His behavior is consistent with narcissism. He is only able to see things as they relate to him, has an exagerated view of his own abilities, etc. Do some reading and see how this describes the traitor in the White House.
How anyone thought he could genuinely help or connect with middle class America is beyond reason. He's the conman at the used car dealer who takes advantage of them.
To the extent this article is condemning our culture of rich white privilege, I agree. I do not see this as any excuse for 45 's behavior, however.
