Why aren't the democrats using the same argument that Roy Moore supporters use? Let the people decide. His constituents don't want him to resign...no wonder we are a mess...we are a bunch of sniveling cowards setting higher standards when we have republican standards so low that anything we do is saintly...Christ almighty we are a bunch of limp dicked losers!
So sad. Enjoy your moral high ground as the repugnicans destroy this country. I hope some day, he runs again. There is a reason he was targeted.
resignation wont solve anything. if he resigns people will continue to deny allegations. investigation is the better option; air it all out. give the public the full story so it is easier to accept the resolution.
A Democratic official tells Minnesota Public Radio that Sen. Al Franken plans to resign on Thursday. Franken's office tweeted that "no final decision has been made." http://n.pr/2iwlmot
Stupidity at its finest. The Dems suck at spin and are stupid fing liberals who would throw away the country to these greedy corporations. We need a real 3rd party option.
Don't do it, don't resign. Democrats want to be the party of moral high ground is a bad idea. It's like bring a knife to a gun battle. Republicans are dug in and will not waver even with proof They lie and do things to hurt the American people but continue to win elections. Democrat fail to realize this is a street fight and anything goes.
Den Franken needs to stay in office. He really has supported women’s rights for a long time. What today seems bad was once more of a norm but it’s not an excuse anymore. He needs to stay in to help fix it. Can’t rely on Liepublicans
The same democrats asking Franken to resign have no credibility in my book if they don't ask Donald Trump to resign.
16 women, forced assault, rape of a 13 year old
NOT the same as an immature and inappropriate prank
Nope, he apologized and recognized his behavior was inappropriate. He should not resign, but rather demonstrate how to move forward and lead by example. Simple punishment, or banishment won’t change behavior of others abusing their power. It might create a backlash against those wishing to speak out, from fear or retribution. Leading by example, might show a path to redemption, give insite on how actions affect subordinates and responsibilities of a good leader. He knows he did wrong, now let him show how to be right.
I, as a long time supported of the Democratic Party, am rethinking my desire to give to the leaders who are so quick to throw Sen. Franken under the bus while "donald" and this Moore character enjoy the support of my tax dollars.
