Why are they making her brain tumor into such a major ordeal. Especially for a brain surgeon. As a brain surgeon, her character should know having that type of brain tumor is such amazing news and turns the whole thing into something easy to fix. It's not really a life threatening problem for her at all. This would only make sense for her and every other (DOCTOR), who also learned such an easy thing in med school, to act this way if she had a more life threatening tumor. It's somewhat annoying and frankly makes her character more pitiful, and annoying. Anything having to do with her involves drama. She's in no way a kick ass kind of surgeon. This show is turning into nothing but a soap opera, instead of an actual interesting show. Bring back the medicine and quit making the residents look like such brainless idiots. As if they didn't graduate from med school. Seriously step it up and put some real effort into these characters and create some new characters that want to be kick ass surgeons instead of mindless idiots who have no business being in a hospital and are so sad and depressing.
Amelia is one of those characters that you have to get to know, to love. I didn’t appreciate her until watching Private Practice. You see a whole other side to her. For example, how far she has come with her recovery, the tragedies she has gone through, and how even though she is in recovery, she still has demons she deals with everyday. This tumor explains so many things because before the tumor she was just “Amelia” with childish emotions. She’s one of those characters that you either understand or you don’t. If you don’t understand her, I highly recommend watching Private Practice because Shonda doesn’t pick her characters lightly. Amelia has a purpose on this show.
At first I didn't like her character but after watching Private Practice and seeing her lose the baby! I fell in love with her!! If they kill her off I will be so sad.
It's refreshing to see some Amelia fans for a change.Over on the Grey's Anatomy pages they all seem to hate her... But mostly because they're huge fans of Meredith and anybody who isn't absolute bossom buddies (Cristina style) with Meredith, they hate!
I love Amelia! She's broken, she's kickass, she's loving and caring! She also has her problems just like every other human being.
To see she has a brain tumour makes me question her drug addiction... However I honestly don't think this tumour made her any less of an amazing surgeon. Her mortality rate was much better than her amazing brother Derek!... I hope she becomes an even better surgeon after the surgery OR it makes no change except for her drug addiction and her inability to confide in people.
Amelia deserves a healthy baby! I hope she gets one. Grey's NEEDS some happy endings and beginnings... Not all of the characters need to have terrible things happen to them, SHONDA! lol
Amelia always was my favorite on PP. Not at all happy with the way Grey’s portrays her character. I hope it’s just the tumor.
I am a meningioma brain tumor survivor. I can relate to her character. This is really hitting home but happy the show is raising awareness about the impact this type of tumor has on people.
I cried when see asked Maggie to tell Mer cause she realized all along Mer was right when she would call her crazy. I'm such a damn baby I swear!!!
Amelia private practice background. She starts off pushy & arrogant (surprising?!), she has no where to go & Addison keep telling her to go see Derek in which Amelia keeps saying no & going on about how much better everything thinks he is. She tried to help a friend end her life as she has a terrible disease that will continue to get worse as she gets older, after injecting her friend with something & her reacting poorly her friend wants to live - they move in together only for Amelia to come home & see her friend had had killed herself by drug od & that's when Amelia starts pills again. Amelia goes downwards from there, drinking & doing Oxy & ends up hooking up with a random guy who is also an addict. Everyone tries to support her but then stop enabling her, she quits & goes on. Bender with Ryan for 2 weeks & comes back to work as if she hadn't been gone. They hold n intervention for her at work & then Ryan shows up just as they finally got her to settle down & admit she needs help only for Addison to see she has given Ryan her dead dads watch that she stole from her Mum (storyline she cries about all the fricken time) & then Amelia gets all emotional & aggressive because it's not Addison's story to tell & she leaves with Ryan. He wants to marry her & have babies so they decide to stop together & she suggests one more high & at first he says no but then they do. They shoot up, she falls asleep & wakes up next to his dead body. She goes into rehab. 20 weeks later she finds out she's pregnant & then finds out the boy has no brain, she gives birth to baby & decides to let them harvest the babies organs. She then goes on to meet a new ER doctor & struggles tw be in a relationship with him & blah.
Never really liked Amelia or felt any empathy or compassion for her, so it's hard to relate to this storyline, as touching as it supposed to be. She's one of the least interesting character ever on the show, as well as one of the most annoying. I mostly feel sorry for Meredith who thinks of Amelia as her sister but that's it. No actual feeling for Amelia herself.
Que weba. Ya no saben ni que invetar con esta serie... ni Juan Osorio hubiera inventado tanta idiotez!!! Van salir al final con una mamada tipo Crepúsculo y seguro Meredith soño todo.
