Local Dad quickly figures out that 14 hours earlier still leaves too much anxiety. From now on it’ll be 24 hours in advance with sleeping bags in hand.
Mark Castleman this showed up on my feed again. I thought it was fitting considering I’m flying out tonight...Good thing I showed up 4 hours early for this flight.. cutting it a little close, huh?
And so Walter Holbrook's family left for the airport 14 hours early with the idea Mr Holbrook would be along shortly, and as Holbrook planned this should give him a head start on his abandoning them by 4 full hours... Allowing for morning rush hour.
Omg I know a guy like this. And he always acts so stressed out at the airport. Meanwhile I'm in vacation mode and two bloody mary's and a Xanax in.
What's your point? You lose a car once after a long trip with flight delays, it changes you forever @"where in the world is our car after San Diego"
Is this guy serious right now? The lines at the airport Auntie Anne's Pretzels will be crazy at that hour. I'd give another two hours as a bumper, just in case. Better safe than sorry.
Cam Heslop I think I’ve tagged you in this already but it reminded me of you telling us how early the Heslops get to the airport
I can understand this! You just never know! and with airlines never wanting to rebook without some crazy ass fee...You should get upgraded for free for being early
The first time I had flown without my parents, I got there 3 hours early. Ended up spending about $30 on a bottle of water, some mixed fruit and a piece of pizza for my 2hr and 30min wait to board.
We just had to explain "airport dad " to our B&B innkeepers who had the audacity to suggest dad arrive at tiny Bangor airport less than an hour ahead of takeoff!!!! THE HORROR!
