Ummmm....I'd be offended too! Bruno Mars would've been a better choice, or anyone of Michael's impersonators! I like Joseph, but this is weird & creepy
Forget about the headline. Paris looks amazing. I'm so happy to see her well. She struggled with depression for a while.
Honestly, I would be offended too. This is so disrespectful to MJ and his entire family.
I saw a photo of this earlier. I seriously thought it was a joke. That's pathetic.
I think we all wanna vomit!!!
I'm offended that he even wanted to attempt it.. Who did the casting call.... Lifetime??
You know they never go for likeness.. Hence Aaliyah, Whitney, Etc.. you get my drift
Honestly they shouldn't be making this movie. Also there is no one in the world who could play the amazing Elizabeth Taylor, nor Marlon Brando.
He looks like andy Sandburg from SNL...eww. If I were her, I wouldn't even give this enough credit to be offended. Seems almost too ridiculous to take seriously
Nothing like the King of Pop. Michael Jackson was such a phenomenal entertainer. So talented in every aspect of the word . I can't see anyone portraying him❤mJ
I'm sorry, while she is attractive she looks alot older than 18. Life so far has not been good her. While Michael Jackson obviously battled his demons no one can deny he is/was one of the most talented music stars of all time. Paris has been through alot. Can't imagine being in her shoes. Her time in the spotlight has aged her.
They should've cast Johnny Depp his portrayal of willie Wonka in Charlie abs the chocolate factory reminded me of Michael Jackson
Why? The guy looks weird and creepy. MJ was weird and creepy. Shared his bed with little boys. We don't know what happened.
This is ridiculous. Yes, Michael's skin was very light at the end of his life but he was still, genetically speaking, a black man. Casting a white man to play Michael Jackson IS offensive and my heart goes out to Paris who has to deal with continued crap involving her dad.
I thought it looked great! It obviously is a satire. Are we all going to sit here and pretend he didnt look or talk like that? C'mon. The project was doomed from the start simply because of who the cast for the role. That's it.
Don't you think Paris should have had some input on the choice of the casting of who would be playing her dad. After all she is someone who knew him pretty well. What a insult to Micheal Jackson 's true legacy.
It really shouldn't matter if bio father are not. He was there father in every since of the word, he raised them he loved them and provided for them so yes he was her father. Why do people have to hurt these kids. I adopted one and help raise about 20 and I loved each and every one of them. The only ones these remarks hurt are the kids have a heart people.
I totally agree with you Paris! A terrible choice to portray your dad! It's an insult to his legacy and the entertainer he was is and always be! I will not be watching this movie!
"He doesn't even look like Michael"
Bruh. Michael didn't even look like Michael. He was five differentass people. Y'all need to quit.
even if it is a comedy, it still is rude and disrespectful to do so much makeup and masking. easily could have found an actor with similar features.
It's an indy film. Meant to be quirky. And funny. Off beat. I'm sure the casting was meant to wow the audience. Apparently, it worked.
Really Erin Pine, does it really matter, don't say anything you know nothing about... You don't have to have the same blood to be family.,..
Has nothing to do with beign her biological father or not, its her father & has the right to defend him.
Lots of people were portrayed by others that don't look like who they're portraying in films and shows...if he captures Michael's personality or then that's what matters and that's really how the writers make it too
This is supposed to be a comedy. If this were a black actor portraying a white figure, the casting would be "groundbreaking." If Michael was so proud of his roots why was he so desperate to look like a white female? The hypocrisy of people attacking this actor is laughable
Daniel Lee he is rotting for it ... and worst then that I'm sure. No excuse for child abuse and ur right , his fame & money was the only reason he remained free from prison. In the end Karma took care of him tho .....lol
I know this isn't relevant to the article, but Paris looks gorgeous! Those eyes! Wow! I know she was dealing with some heavy stuff and she seems to be doing better! She looks well! Go, Paris!
This isn't a serious documentary of his life. Did you see the actor playing Elizabeth Taylor? I'm not sure if it's a woman or a man playing the part, not a flattering portray of Elizabeth either.
The mark of a true actor is to make the audience believe they are who they are portraying...maybe we should all wait to see if Joseph Fiennes can pull it off....
It doesn't look anything like Michael Jackson. I know if they had they right person doing the makeup they should be able to get closer than that.
Not all Interpretation of a character need to look physically like it, sometimes is all about who does the mannerism, voice even dance better. Just because he doesn't look like Michael doesn't mean he can act like him, it is possible he was that convincing.
Stockard Channing looks good as Elizabeth Taylor I think but Joseph Fiennes as Michael is just plain insulting and wrong on so many levels!!
