Don't want their two-faced support. A 1% rise for the police and a 0.7% one for prison staff that doesn't even match 2.9% inflation? What will the rest of the public sector get? 0.5%? And then we are supposed to be grateful and stop campaigning for better pay? No thank you.
Jeremy hunt says more than 1% is bogus?
Really Jeremy, inflations at 2.9% so a 1% rise equates still to a 1.9% pay cut, that's bogus?
The guys a complete and utter fucking disgrace, anything under a 3% increase at this juncture is still a paycut in real terms.
It's all smoke and mirrors as always with the tories.
Don't get excited. This is a trick. The government have already agreed to lift the cap, they just want us to think the DUP are not in their pockets.
The very definition of dishonest politicians, they don't stay bought. I wonder whether this is a matter of conscience or a tactic to jack up the bribe.
Amazing, it took a billion pound DUP bribe by the Tories to fund the NHS. If the DUP keep that up the government may actually fulfil the Brexit pledge to spend an extra £400 million or so on the NHS.
I love how to actual article gives no more detail than the title, but the request for funding below it is 3x longer than the article itself.
This is the time for progressives, or anybody interested in the advancement of society - and the survival of humanity - to act and be present on several levels. From the political point of view, progressives should foster rational, inclusive, public debates on issues such as inequality and climate change. From the cultural standpoint, progressives should challenge the monopoly of instrumental reason and utility in economics and social interactions in general. On a spiritual level, being aware of one's egoic conditionings and overcoming them should be the golden rule for whoever wants to see change in the outside world. These are some of the ideas that I tried to convey in this article.https://www.opendemocracy.net/marco-senatore/its-time-for-deep-changes-i...
